Why don't you have prices for web design?
You need to take care when choosing your web designer and look beyond price to value. You should never be given a price without the designer first discussing your requirements with you. If you are, you will likely pay too much, end up with stuff you don't need, or not get a complete and satisfactory job done. That's why we want to discuss your ideas and add our own before determining a price. You'll also need to discuss with us how the site will be updated, along with additions and maintenance as they all may incur ongoing costs.

Can you design my site even if I live far away?
Many of our clients live out of our region and we can work very efficiently with them using email, phone and post. Most important is that you have email and internet access so you can see your site progress and test it out. That allows you to give feedback we can use to fine tune the site.

Why do you do hosting as well?
There's little financial reward in providing hosting services, but we do it because we want first, to give good value hosting to you and secondly, want to make sure the hosting is compatible with the way your site is designed. Furthermore, you are only dealing with one company for both which makes it easier to isolate any problems that may occur and speed up the solution.

Why do you only have one hosting package?
We display a full featured package with monthly hosting cost so that you can compare our value with that of other hosts offering similar features. In fact we can tailor a package to meet your needs specifically. If you require more disk space or a greater traffic allocation we can easily add this to your account. If you require a more basic hosting service we can accomodate that at a discount rate. For example you may not require an email service as you may prefer to use the email facility given by your internet service provider.

Why do you have a limit on the amount of traffic?
You needn't worry about the limit we suggest for your internet traffic. It's a guide we use to make sure all the sites we host have a fair allocation of resources. This means another site can't slow your site down by having an excessive number of visitors. Some hosting companies will advertise unlimited traffic as a ploy to make you think you are getting better value. The fact is they too need to have limits or else they could compromise their service to you. Generally they know that most sites won't exceed 1-2 GB and to safe guard themselves add to the fine print in their terms that they will "talk" to you if you have an excessive amount of traffic. Our policy is to be honest and straightforward about what you are purchasing. If you do get to the stage of needing an extra traffic allocation, it's only a few dollars extra per GB per month and we'll always let you know in advance if we need to make that extra allocation so there'll be no surprises on your bill.

I've seen other hosts offering cheaper hosting. What's the difference?
When you want to compare hosting value you must consider more than price.
- First look at the features and compare them. For instance we are one of only a handful of providers that offer Miva Script support. Often at this price level there is also no secure server access. A hidden danger can be the amount of resources allocated to each account. Some hosts will try to squeeze thousands of sites on a single server while we restrict our number to a few hundred per server. We also run at minimum, dual PIII 1GHz processors with 2 GB RAM per server.
- After looking at features, make sure you have access to free telephone or email support. Netuoso offers both.
- Then look at the price and check to see if there is any set up fee. While charging a set up fee is acceptable, because of the time it takes for a host to set up an account, we at Netuoso would prefer to give you a months free hosting as we believe your experience of our service will keep you on as valued customers for a long time.

What's the big deal about Miva Script?
Web designers who use Miva Script are often able to customise tasks more quickly than those using more complex scripting languages. This speeds up the design process (cutting down the development costs) and in many cases makes your site quicker to load. In our own design we incorporate Miva Script with other scripting languages so that we can take advantage of what it does best while still having the benefits of the other technologies.

Do you register domain names?
Yes, we can register domain names on your behalf. Talk to us and we'll discuss the options.

Will you upload our site for us?
If we design your site, uploading, fine tuning and submitting to search engines is all part of the service. If we haven't designed your site we can upload it for an extra fee (from $NZ40 depending on the size and some other issues). Otherwise you or your designer will have to do it. We provide easy to follow instructions and will be available to help if necessary.

Can you help me design my website?
While our first priority is to support those services that are paid for we may be able to help with other questions free of charge. If the issue is too involved or complex to deal with quickly then we'll let you know and may suggest some guides to help.
